1. Your Right to Data Erasure

At GETCOLLAB TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED ("GetCollab"), we respect your right to control your personal data. You may request erasure of your personal information at any time, in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and, where applicable, other data protection laws such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Because GetCollab facilitates deals, escrow, and billing, erasure works by anonymizing your identity rather than a hard, irreversible wipe of every record, as explained in Section 3.

2. How to Request Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your data through any of the following methods:

Dashboard self-service: Log into your GetCollab account, navigate to Settings, and use the "Delete Account" option.
Email request: Send an email to privacy@getcollab.in with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Please include your registered email address and full name so we can verify your identity.
In-platform support: Use the Contact Us form at GetCollab Support and select "Data Deletion" as the inquiry type.

3. Deletion Blockers

Before we can process your deletion request, we need the following to be resolved, since they involve funds or obligations owed to or from other users:

Active or paused campaigns belonging to your Brand organization
Open or in-progress deals involving your account
Escrow funds currently held for a deal involving your account
Unpaid or pending settlements owed to or by your account
Open disputes involving your account

If any of the above apply, we will let you know what needs to be closed, paid, or resolved first. Once resolved, you can resubmit your deletion request.

4. What Happens When Your Data Is Deleted

Once your request is processed, we anonymize the personal data that identifies you, including:

Your account profile, name, and contact information
Connected social media account tokens and profile data
Chat history and messages, where these contain identifying information
Analytics and engagement data directly associated with your identity

We do not perform a hard wipe of records that we are legally required to retain. In particular, financial, invoice, escrow, settlement, and GST/tax-related records connected to your account are retained in anonymized or pseudonymized form for as long as required under applicable Indian tax, accounting, and company law. As general guidance only (and not legal advice), certain books of account and tax records are commonly required to be preserved for around eight years; the exact period depends on the specific record and the law in force at the relevant time. Records may also be retained longer where necessary to resolve an open dispute or comply with a legal hold.

5. Processing Timeline

We will acknowledge your deletion request within 72 hours and, once any deletion blockers in Section 3 are resolved, complete the anonymization process within 30 calendar days. You will receive a confirmation email once processing is complete.

6. Third-Party Data

If you connected social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube) to GetCollab, you may also wish to revoke GetCollab's access directly from those platforms:

Facebook/Instagram: Go to Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites → Remove GetCollab
Google/YouTube: Go to Google Account → Security → Third-party apps → Remove GetCollab
